Square Cash: What is it? How Does it Work? What are the Fees?

Tuesday, July 12th, 2022

Square Cash is a mobile payment app that enables you to send and receive money in minutes. The service has a wide range of features, including the ability to transfer money between friends and family members and pay bills.

Square Cash is available on Android and iOS devices and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or App Store. You can also access the service through your web browser at squarecash.com.

The interface of Square Cash is simple and easy to use. Tabs at the bottom of each page allow you to view your accounts, check your balances, or transfer money from one account to another. You can also connect it with other apps such as Venmo or PayPal.

Square Cash Fees

Square Cash charges a $1 fee for each transaction within their app. This fee is deducted from your account when you use it to transfer money from your bank account or debit card. This fee depends on how much money is being transferred, but it’s usually around $1 per transaction.

Square Cash has other fees and charges associated with it. Some of the fees are listed below:

  • Payment Fee: $1.00
  • Cash Deposit Fee: $1.00
  • Other Fees: $0.30 per debit card transaction

The other fees depend on the type of financial institution you use to send money through Square Cash. For example, if you use PayPal, Venmo, or Dwolla for sending or receiving money, there will be an additional fee of 2%.

These fees are not charged when using Square Cash with Chase Bank or Wells Fargo Bank (which has its own separate app).

Square Cash Comparisons

If you compare Square Cash with other mobile payment services like Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal Here, it’s clear that Square Cash is less expensive than those options.

For example, PayPal Here charges a monthly fee of $1 per month, while Venmo charges a flat rate of $2 per transaction (plus an additional fee if there’s an extra step involved).

Last Words

Square Cash Review is a very simple app that’s easy to use and has great customer support. The only downside is that Square Cash doesn’t offer much in terms of features, so you won’t get much out of this application unless you’re looking for something basic.
